The market culture in Morocco is deeply ingrained in every town and village with daily and weekly markets. The markets, known as ‘Souqs’, are covered or open-air and sell a wide range of goods, most you didnt even know existied. Typically located in the center medina (square) of the old city quarters, Souqs act as a meeting point for city people and farmers from the villages.
